Sustainability at CIRES

The Shin-Etsu Group has defined a sustainability framework and policy to manage all business activity: The Group strictly complies with all legislation and regulations, conducts fair business practices and contributes to people's daily lives as well as to the industrial and social development by creating value through the provision of key materials and technologies.

UN Global Compact

In November 2010, the Shin-Etsu Group joined the UN Global Compact, the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative.

BCSD Portugal

In 2021, the CIRES Group joined the Business Council for Sustainable Development (BCSD) Portugal. In this way, it joined the Global Network of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), the largest international business organization working in the area of sustainable development.

Sustainability report

The Shin-Etsu Group's Sustainability Report has been published annually since 2019 since the SDGs were integrated into corporate management, expanding the scope of our activities for the promotion and realization of a more sustainable society.The Report also serves as a presentation of our Responsible Care programs.
